I sat down to chat with Lori Costew about the future of work trends as part of my research to produce Season 1 of The Lever with Drew Fortin. Moreover, Costew stressed the need for alternative paths beyond traditional college education. While acknowledging the value of tapping into specialty skills on an as-needed basis, Costew emphasized that building a product and going to market solely with freelancers may not be sustainable. Simultaneously, there is a rise in union activity as employees seek equity and recognition for their skills and competencies.
